Microneedling is a simple, in-office procedure performed in less than an hour by one of our Medical Aestheticians. After thoroughly cleansing the skin, a sterile tip containing eleven microfine needles is loaded into a piston-driven handpiece. Using hyaluronic acid as a lubricant the sterile tip is applied to the skin in circular motions creating microchannels. The depth of needle penetration can be adjusted depending on the areas of the face, neck, or chest being treated.
The controlled mechanical micro-trauma stimulates new collagen and elastin production to thicken and tighten skin.
While the channels are open, serum, growth factors, or even your own platelet-rich plasma can be applied to further
stimulate skin rejuvenation. The recovery time is usually 24- 48 hours and the skin looks refreshed and healthier
